You need a litterbox so that your cat can do it's dirt. AND, you need litter. A good litter is Pine litter, or anything that is NOT clay litter. When cats cover up their dirt with litter, if clay the litter will go up into the cats lungs, and the cat will have a hard time breathing. Pine litter does all this:
